License in CalGO Safety Assessment Program

A career in architecture can perhaps never be linear. By the very nature of [nearly] every building being different. But also for me, having moved countries too many times, I have shifted back and forth from public to private buildings, to international advocacy, to a bit of tv presenting. But the one constant is needing to do continuing education to maintain my licenses.

I really enjoyed this course offered by The American Institute of Architects (AIA) University and am now proud to be an Architectural Evaluator for California Governor's Office of Emergency Services Safety Assessment Program.

As we experience more climate emergencies across the broad swathes of this rich mix of geophysical lands I hope to be able to use my skills to help identify buildings at risk, and those that are safe. And it was 6.5 CES! Brilliantly taught by Kenneth J. Filarski FAIA, LEED FELLOW, LEED-AP BDC, SITES-AP, AICP,CFM and Will Robarge.
