Event Five
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
‘Ties Between Two Great Nations - American & British Architecture & Design’
‘Ties Between Two Great Nations - American & British Architecture & Design’
Carpenter’s Hall, Philadelphia. Organized by the British American Business Council of Greater Philadelphia.
Catherine was invited to be a panelist alongside leading British and American Architects to discuss her role in the Mutual Recognition Agreement between the British Architects Registration Board and the US National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
She discussed the time-line and steps needed to enable to the landmark piece of legislation to be enacted and the implications on both sides of the Atlantic for individual architects, medium sized firms now able to bid for work in each other’s jurisdictions and larger firms talent pool opportunities.
The event was hosted in an elegant Georgian building completed in 1774 by the Carpenters’ Company, which hosted the First Continental Congress, the gathering of delegates from 12 of the 13 colonies to begin the collective efforts to break away from Great Britain.
