‘Ties Between Two Great Nations - American & British Architecture & Design’

Catherine was invited to be a panelist alongside leading British and American Architects to discuss her role in the Mutual Recognition Agreement between the British Architects Registration Board and the US National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.

She discussed the timeline and steps needed to enable to the landmark piece of legislation to be enacted and the implications on both sides of the Atlantic for individual architects, medium sized firms now able to bid for work in each other’s jurisdictions and larger firms talent pool opportunities.

The event was hosted in an elegant Georgian building completed in 1774 by the Carpenters’ Company, which hosted the First Continental Congress, the gathering of delegates from 12 of the 13 colonies to begin the collective efforts to break away from Great Britain.
